My losing weight goal is on target

May 24, 2007

I have been terrible about blogging lately.  The last few weeks have been heads down for Lisa, Brad, and me as we get closer to getting our new company out in beta.  Stay tuned, it’s getting really close…

On the fitness front, I have been sporadic on exercising, mostly walking since my 62 mile Skagit Classic bike ride.  I have, however, stuck close to the goals I outlined for cleaning up my eating habits.

As a result, I have now lost 20 pounds so far this year and 36 pounds overall.  I am down to 219 as of this morning.  Lisa also did a body fat comp on me and my body fat was 12.8%.  I know that pinch tests don’t account for subcutaneous fat, so I’m probably closer to 15%.

Either way, I am making good progress so far this year.  Now I REEEAAAALLLYYY need to start getting on my bike!!!

15% body fat is awesome! I’m probably closer 50%.

Good luck with the new company!

Someday it would be nice to see 15%. As it is I am down to 25.2 from 39.6% so it’s all good. Keep up the good work.

Cripes, Phil – how tall are you!?

I’d somehow got the impression that you were Brad’s height – and about as wide as you are tall! 15% body fat is positively slender and svelte – are you sure you want to lose any more? You’re already making the rest of us look bad . . . .

Oh, and well done for “climbing back on the horse that threw you” a few weeks ago.

    I’m 5′11″ – taller than Brad.

I also was very into weight lifting in my 20’s and 30’s. My lean body mass (at 190) is about 50 pounds more than Brad’s total weight. I seriously doubt I could get within 50 pounds of Brad no matter how fit I became.

That said – I’ve been thinking about the caliper test. I definately am trimmer than I use to be, but I am no where near having a six pack. I must be higher than 15%. I’ll keep having Lisa test it as I drop and see how it changes.

Phil is a giant compared to me… hence my ability to speed up hills around him on my bike… but he could probably do bicep curls with my entire body if I’d allow him to… Not gonna happen!

That being said, Phil is definitley looking a lot more slender these days.
